Barkcloth
I bought some barkcloth pieces from Bobbie Britnell on Saturday and have been experimenting.
Some printing to start with, which I plan to stitch into and couch - after cutting up and repiecing ?!?! The uneven surface adds texture to printing but would not be ideal for very detailed work.

I'm using the "wrong side" as I prefer the softer colour. Saw Sian on Saturday and she told me you've graduated - well done. I'll get there one day!

I did some reverse applique, inserting a coffee refill pack (!) covered in text and did some spiral stitching. Took it to the Open Studios event and sold it to a lady from Cyprus. She wanted t just as it was. Amazing! Will have to start again on another piece.
